What the work looks like in Bloomington
East Bloomington is one of the best remaining stretches of 1950s and 60s ramblers and story-and-a-halfs in the metro — small kitchens, one bathroom, original wiring behind the plaster. Most of what we do there is opening up the kitchen, adding a second bath and finishing the basement properly, with the ceiling height and the old joist spans worked out before anyone swings a hammer.
The commercial half of Bloomington is a different business entirely. The I-494 and American Boulevard strip is the densest concentration of leasable office and hotel space in the state and it turns over constantly — tenant build-outs, corridor and restroom refreshes, ceiling grid and flooring, almost always on an occupied-building schedule.
